Kid Country is a small, community-supported daycare and early learning program in Twin Bridges. This project gives kids an easy, hands-on way to learn about Montana while connecting them to communities beyond our own. It also provides people across the state with a small opportunity to be part of what’s happening here.

Postcards Across Montana Updates
4/15/2026 — We have received some of the first postcards this week. The furthest is from Red Lodge!
4/30/2026 — Our classroom map arrived. Mark Boka with The Gallery in Dillon mounted it on foam board, and our Director hung it in the classroom this week. Perfect timing, as we have an amazing stack of cards and letters to begin tracking!
5/6/2026 — We have received responses from 17 Montana counties so far! Madison, Silver Bow, Jefferson, Gallatin, Deer Lodge, Powell, Granite, Mineral, Lake, Lincoln, Glacier, Liberty, Wheatland, Stillwater, Carbon, Custer, and Prairie!
6/20/26 — We have received responses from 21 Montana counties! Madison, Silver Bow, Jefferson, Gallatin, Deer Lodge, Powell, Granite, Mineral, Lake, Lincoln, Glacier, Flathead, Cascade, Judith Basin, Liberty, Wheatland, Stillwater, Carbon, Custer, Prairie, Yellowstone.
6/29/26 — We received news to expect additional responses from Powder River and Wibaux counties this week!
7/7/26 — We've been overwhelmed by the response to Postcards Across Montana! To date, we've received postcards representing at least 28 of Montana's 56 counties, with several counties sending multiple postcards and stories. It's been wonderful to see so many communities share what makes their corner of Montana special.
So far, we've heard from: Carbon, Cascade, Custer, Daniels, Deer Lodge, Flathead, Gallatin, Glacier, Granite, Hill, Jefferson, Judith Basin, Lake, Lewis and Clark, Liberty, Lincoln, Madison, McCone, Mineral, Missoula, Powell, Powder River, Prairie, Silver Bow, Stillwater, Wheatland, Wibaux, and Yellowstone.
Thank you to everyone who has participated. Every postcard, note, and virtual submission has helped our kids learn a little more about the people, places, history, and traditions that make Montana home. If your county isn't represented yet, we'd still love to hear from you!
