Looking Ahead
Time spent with older generations offers children something increasingly rare, unhurried attention, lived experience, and the steady presence of someone who has seen many seasons. Through shared stories and reading together, children learn patience, listening, and respect, while gaining a sense that knowledge and care are passed down. Kid Country is exploring opportunities to revive a Senior Reading Program, inviting older community members to share stories, wisdom, and time with children. These moments become early memories of being welcomed into a circle where every age has value and something to offer.
Please reach out to the Director if you’re interested in learning more about this opportunity.
As our community evolves, we remain open to new ways to participate, collaborate, and support events and projects that align with our values and capacity.
